Happy New year

Our alone time, quickly past and John's family joined us. his mother MaryAnne, his sister Ashley and brother jordan came up from AZ to spend a few days with us and travel up to the big apple for new years!! We had so much fun! The morning after they arrived, we were up and on the road at 4am, arriving in new york city to catch our harbor cruise tour at noon. It was a three hour cruise that took us all around Manhatten seeing and learning so many things. It was so fun!

That night we went to the world trade centers or ground zero which was neat to see, comparing it to the towers which I saw a few years before they came down. The next day was new years, I know we are crazy but we were out there a few in the million people crowd to see the ball drop. We had a great spot, we arrived at 11am that morning, (don't worry we didn't stand there and wait all day), John's sister did, and we enjoyed the day walking around. At 2 pm, we came back, and waited, and waited, and we were searched, and we were barricaded in. Seriously we were, with 9 hours left till the new year, we were in! Yea, no potty breaks or food breaks, luckily we had some snacks and a few empty bottles, ha ha! The time went by fast with all the celebrating, ryan secrist, christina agulaira, rascal flatts were performers on the stage right in front of us, many others performed.

I Love You Ryan!!!

Christina!!!
It was a night of fun, dancing and ringing in the new year at the biggest party ever!!! Happy New Year!

Times Square!

Look at all the confetti, it was crazy!

The family!

merry christmas

What a great christmas. john and I were able to enjoy each other on christmas day. NO family, just each other and it was so fun. ( even though we wish we could have spent time with family) Last christmas was our official first christmas after marriage but it was crazy being right after the wedding and stuff, so this was our First real christmas together. We loved hanging out together and realizing that we did not have to worry or stress over anything, no school, no work, no kids. (That will probably be the last time for a while). So we soaked it up, relaxing together, watching movies, shopping, eating, cooking, and just hanging out.

The beautiful Christmas eve dinner I cooked. We enjoyed ham, salad, corn, potatoes, rolls, a fruit smoothie, by candlelight and the light from our tree! How fun and romantic!

I know its not impressive but that is all we needed.
For christmas we recieved clothes(at least from each other), shoes, and our most exciting gifts: remote car starters for both the maxima and civic.

They are so nice, we love to play with them. We spent christmas afternoon watching We Are Marshall! It was a great movie. THen we went over to Adam and Chantel's home for Christmas dinner, they are JOhn's cousins so we were able to spend time with family. Christmas break went by too fast. The days of John and I just hanging out flew by.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas.

We even had time to do a little ice skating!! JOhn showing off his impressive skills on the ice!

A long awaited update

Don't get discouraged! it's gonna be a long one, it has been awhile and lots of fun things have happened so take a look!

First, the last of my visit to AZ!
* Fun after chocolate fountain- my mom and I got pampered, a full body massage, pedicure, and manicure. decorating a gingerbread house, and getting and decorating a christmas tree. Enjoyed eating out and a movie The Holiday- recommend it!

* hung out with friends- games, lunch, craft night too! It was great to see my AZ girlfriends!!

* Sister and boys came to AZ- So fun to play with Caden (her 2 yr. old), and to see her new one Jackson. It was fun to be a babysitter and a playmate, an excuse to act like a kid.

Tons of Fun in AZ! I will miss it, but it was a nice trip! It was nice to be back with my Husband!
(some pics of the family)

Second, Anniversary to Toronto!
* December 20th was a great day, not only the last final for John, it celebrate our first year of marriage!, so off to Toronto for a few days of fun with each other.
* First, a great room thanks to briste for the discount, we were welcomed to a nice suite! And a king bed in which we would spend some time( catching up on sleep that is)!

* Fun shows in Toronto- Blue man Group was great, I had no idea what to expect and was not disappointted. So much fun, they were great entertainers. And the nutcracker. That is a beautiful play, what talent, beauty, portrayed. I love shows, and so I loved it.

* Fun shopping, visits to the Casa Loma Castle, the toronto temple, and the CN tower, etc. Toronto was a fun city, a miniature NY city, big city life, and plenty to keep us busy. We enjoyed our stay and our anniversary!!

Third, almost christmas in Buffalo!
* back to our Home, after Toronto. I know its late but we went out and got us a Christmas tree. It's not too tall, but hey its taller than last years. It was fun putting up lights and ordaments. We sat sipping hot chocolate , listening to christmas music, looking at our little tree, and talking about our favorite christmas memories!

*Remind me to never go out again on the eve of christmas eve. A few last minute things, but boy not worth thte craziness! Everyone and their mother is out. I guess that is what is get for a little procrastination.
WOW, sorry it had been so long! Hope everyone has a great holiday!!!

Chocolate Fountain Craziness!!!

An update here in Arizona. First of all, it is sunny and nice down here, jeans and a short sleeve shirt, I know I forgot they existed in NY! So far I have been a great helper to my mother who owns a catering chocolate fountain company. This time of year is very busy for her, so Sarah to the rescue. Thursday, Friday and Saturday were all filled with events!

But I must tell about one. Saturday I got to do a fountain for one of my great friends(hee hee), She lives in a huge mansion in Paradise Valley, I will be honest, the biggest house I have ever seen, let alone be at one of the biggest events of the year. Over the top with decorations, a huge guest house, a huge backyard, and to give another hint as to the amount of money these people had, just in their garage, their were 4 harley hot rod motorcycles, 2 ford mustangs, one older restored one, and a new one, 1 yellow lambergini, 1 black Bentley, and a black range rover!! Wow, huh! Anyway, on with the story. My dad and I were there getting all set up for this party. It was a huge party, decorations perfect, tables, food, ice carvings, bars everywhere, the pool was covered with an elevated dance floor, a band from LA was flying in. Anyway, so you get the point. An over the top party to say the least, and so you are wondering who's house was this. WEll I will tell you. . . . ONly the most sought after porn star ever . . . JEnna Jameson! Yes, that is what the porn industry will buy. I guess that explains all the strippers in prom dresses that were there. What a night, my dad and I were dodging boobs the whole night!! Sorry for not having my camera on me, but WOW! Talk about the big and spacious building!

Anyway, enough with the chocolate fountain talk, now it is time to relax and enjoy AZ with friends and family! Congrats to Kristen on the birth of her beautiful son Chase!!

Wow! What a week!!

First of all, another birth of a beautiful baby boy occured thursday morning. Johns cousin Adam and his wife who are up here going to dental school as well, had a baby. John and I went to the hospital to see them. What a beautiful family!!

On Saturday night, john and I and other of our friends got together for a christmas party. There was about twenty people there, and it was so fun. There was food, which was all delicious! I was assigned desserts, and like always I had a blast doing that. I could not decide what to make, so I made 5 things, yes five! Cute little reindear and santa cookies, Reese'sm peanut butter cookies, mini cheesecake and rocky road fudge bars, Oh wait, and White chocolate trail mix!! YUM! I am getting hungry thinking about all that food we had! We all sat around and ate, chatted, and of course, had a great white elephant gift exchange! An old stained glass chandilier, a budweiser tourch, and an african statue were some of the highlights! John brought home a stuffed chicken which is a slingshot, and it makes wonderful chicken noises!! It is great to have such great friends up here!!

And the final results are in. . . Drumroll for the NCLEX!!! Passed, yes you read correctly, I did PASS!!! now onto real life as a working career women! I will let you know about the job options and where I choose to work!! Hopefully starting the first of the year!

This week I leave to AZ, jealous aren't you. I know I am very excited to see some sun and my family!!

Newest member of the Family!!!

MY SISTER HAD HER BABY!!!! Yes, my older sister Jessika had a beautiful baby boy on Saturday evening. The baby has yet to be named, they are still deciding between Cash, Cole, and Jackson. I think they are all cute. He weighed in at 8lbs. 9 oz. which is small compared to her last, at 9lbs 11 oz!! She is doing well, and her baby is healthy! I am so proud of her, 100% natural, baby. She said it was hard, but she wanted to do it. She did the new Hypno birthing technique. No pictures of the cute little guy, only on my phone, sorry!! Congrats to her!!!

Saturday night (while my sister was giving birth) John and I went to UNO's pizza with a big group of friends to celebrate Josh's birthday. We all had a great time, and the boys enjoyed watching the BYU football game on the big screen while we eat!! It was a fun night. John and I came home and watched Hard Ball, it is a great little movie, and kinda emotional too!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I can't believe thanksgiving has come and gone. Time is flying by and so did this wonderful day! John began the day by playing in the Turkey Bowl, with guys from the ward and school, he came home a muddy mess but had fun! I began by running my own turkey trot, I did not run in the "real" turkey trot in Buffalo but instead i went to the gym and ran a few miles. I came home and turned on Christmas music!!! I know thanksgiving was not even over and I could not help it. While I was in the Kitchen Baking i enjoyed the sound of christmas carols. This was John and I's first thanksgiving as Husband and wife, and it was fun.

We went over to our friends Missy and Gary Couser along with 9 other people and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. John and I were in charge of bringing an Apple pie, the green bean casserole and the dinner ware. The apple pie turned out great, it was so pretty and I have to give props to John because he did most of it.

The green bean casserole was not the greatest, I tried a new recipe and probably wont use it again, but o well, people still enjoyed it, and I even got a few compliments, but I did not care for it. Here's a beautiful pic, well not so beautiful!

Everybody had a great day, enjoying the turkey and all other sides, and the company was very nice. It made it nice to have people to spend thanksgiving with since family was so far. John and I also spent time discussing some traditions we would like to have within our family and as it grows to do with our kids. We made a list of things we were grateful for and discussed them. We also rented Nacho Libre and watched it on Thanksgiving night! It was a funny but okay movie! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!!
Oh yeah, here is a little pic of the lovely tables, not so Martha Stewart like last year, kinda sad but o well. Thanks to party city, we were able to enjoy dinner on nice turkey plates!!

PS- I am so glad John'smouth felt better today. For the past 4 days he has only eaten, cream of wheat, vitamix smoothies and protein shakes, soups etc. He really tore up his mouth when taking impressions at school, and the inner lining in his mouth was red and raw. OUCH! But THANKFULLY he was able to eat today and enjoy all the food at Thanksgving dinner!!!!

Friday night was spent celebrating Allie's 3rd birthday!! Allie is John's cousins daughter. They had a birthday party for her. She was the only kid there besides at 5month old baby. All the rest where adults. It was fun to meet and hang out with new people who we had not hung out with. She loved opening up all the new presents, we got her a dora the explorer toy. We had ice cream and cake and spent the night talking.

Saturday was the baby shower day. My great friend Kristen, had a baby shower. It was so much fun getting together with the girls, and chatting about babies and all that girl stuff. I led a baby price is right game, it was fun. Showers are always fun! I am so excited for her to have a baby. Along with two other girls, all boys too! We get together and Myself and my friend Briste are the only non pregnant or not mothers there. But it is still totally fun!! We will be there soon enough!

The weekend went by so fast. One thing I have noticed here is that I am ready for bed at 6pm. By 5pm it is black andcold outside and feels like 8 o clock. So I have to force myself to stay up for a little while at night!! I guess that is another joy of being out here in Buff Buff!!
