27 years later!

August 22nd marked the 27th year of the greatest guy! Yes, John is another year older! Although he had to go to school that day, we enjoyed all the time we had to spend together. He was spoiled as usual. His early birthday present was a new set of golf clubs get received earlier this summer, but of course this year on his birthday he received a the I-Pod touch and lots of other gifts! We enjoyed yummy Marco's sub sandwiches for dinner at our favorite little park Glen park where we had a beautiful view of a waterfall. As soon as the nasty bugs came out and were biting us like crazy we went back home. We enjoyed our day together! Here are a few pictures of his wonderful birthday!

And a few pics of him close to 27 years ago, when I look back at John's baby pictures, I would be perfectly happy to have our little boy look as cute as he was! Check out that blond hair!

I must preface the next pictures with: this is my very first attempt to make some jewelry, I bought some beads on clearance forever ago, and decided to finally try to put them together and make something out of them!

27 week update

WOW! Things have been growing and moving around here. My belly is getting bigger on a daily basis, my belly button has officially "popped." John and I love to watch my belly and see it move all around. Our boy loves to kick and move. Luckily, I am still relatively comfortable, and have minimal complaints, Besides being exhausted when I come home from work, luckily John is patient and helpful. I can't believe that in just a few months the baby will be here. We have gotten a few pieces of furniture for babies room, a crib, changing table, and amoire. We are still looking at some crib bedding, and I am busy making a list of all of the baby essentials.

These next few are some pictures that John took while playing "photographer" and using different functions on our camera.

Boys Trip again!

Yes, John left me again last weekend for one last boys trip before he "really" starts school. I guess this makes up for all those times I have left him and gone home to Arizona. But while he was gone a few of the girls got together for some Dairy Queen and Olympics. Last weekend, six guys all piled in and off they went to the best amusement park, Cedar Point in San Dusky Ohio. The boys had a blast or so I am told. John and the rest of the guys I am sure acted like little 10 year olds, so excited and running to each ride! The day was beautiful and they spent the whole day there. Yes, they opened the park at 10 am, and closed it at 11pm! Needless to say John got home after 5 am Sunday morning!

Algonquin

John enjoyed a nice camping trip with his cousin Adam and a few other guys. He is trying to take advantage of this time he has before school starts again. Algonquin is located in Canada. They canoed in on a lake and camped for a few nights. They enjoyed day hikes, canoeing trips, fishing, and just relaxing in the beautiful park. They saw moose, and plenty of bugs I am sure. John even brought home two worms and a frog!! Not on purpose, we were unpacking and I about FLIPPED!

What a nice view.
Each night they would enjoy a nice sunset over the lake.
Showing off the catch of the day!
Posing on their day hike.
The camping boys.
Is that a moose in the water?!

Summer Fun!

Its time to update about our past few trips. Well, actually trips other people made to come out to visit us in Buffalo. My family came out and then the next day, John's mother and brother came out. Check out lots of fun pics below!!

Vacationing in Buffalo #2

After my Family left, John's mother and brother came into town. We spent half of the trip down in NYC enjoying some sights.

The last season for the Yankees. We were able to make it to a game and to the stadium.
We enjoyed great views from atop the empire state building.
We relaxed in Central Park, however the squirrel that Jordon scared did otherwise!
We made a stop at Ellis island where we learned lots of great history.
We even spent some time at the Statue of liberty.

After we arrived back in Buffalo, we enjoyed a day at Crystal beach, the boys went paintballing, and we loved the time we got to spend together. Thanks to our wonderful families!

Vacationing in Buffalo #1

My parents, my sister and her family and JOhn and I had a wonderful vacation here in Buffalo.
I am going to share the trip in mostly pictures so beware!!

The Guys spent a day enjoying a nice round of golf while the girls took the boys to the buffalo zoo. Here is Caden feeding the giraffe a cracker. The boys of course loved all the animals.

We spent a nice relaxing day at Niagara Falls. Here is a pic John snapped of me, sitting in front of the falls.
Grandma and Grandpa with their grandson Jackson enjoying the falls.
We relaxed in the park in front of the Niagara river and enjoyed the cool breeze and each others company. The boys where having fun. Here is Caden tackling Jackson.
But don't worry, Jackson will get him back!
Jackson and I looking at the Niagara river which leads into the falls.
John is doing so well learning how to take great pics with our new camera, look at this pretty picture of the waterfall.
We took a break from Niagara Falls and enjoyed a picnic, we could not have a picnic without our annual grape toss. Unfortunately, John and I did not win this year.
While at Niagara falls we were able to do the cave of the winds tour where you get soaked, you can actually get dumped on by the water on the american side!
Here is John and Caden at the Cave of the Winds.
We also took a ride on the maid of the mist.

Crystal beach fun!
One day we headed back to Canada and enjoyed our favorite beach. We all loved it, the weather was perfect and the kids loved it! Here they are laughing in the water.
The boys jumped off the pier, and we had a sand castle building contest, my dolphin came in second!

Our dear friend Kristen took a few family portraits.

We showed them a few of our favorite places to eat, including the anchor bar, pancake house, chill n grill, marcos subs, wegmans, Mattina pizza, neadless to say we had plenty to eat! Here is Jackson at the anchor bar.

Of course us girls got away to do some relaxation without the kids and husbands. We went to a new store called Destination Maternity where we spent a lot of time and money, and then off to enjoy a pedicure and manicure!

We were also able to join lots of others at the Hill Cumorah to view all the historic sites and see the pagenant. Here are the boys at the top of the Hill, a great big brother hug!

If you have been paying close attendion in the few pictures John has been in, you might have noticed a slight change. The new diagnosis is. . . . .Bells Palsy. John discovered this surprising diagnosis a few weeks ago, don't worry it is already getting better. Here he is after an urgent care visit, an ER visit, and a CAT scan.

And last but not least, while my family was in, I brought my mom and dad in with me for my ultrasound, they got to see little baby Taylor, the ultrasound tech, even gave us some 3D shots of baby!!

We had a great time being with Family! Thanks so much for coming to visit us!
