I've been Hit

the cookie monster from the ward has attacked. We got door bell ditched and were left with a bag of cookies. Now it is our turn to share our cookies with someone new!!

Our little home in buffalo.

Even though we have been here a while now, we are still getting settled in. The townhome is great. It is in a great location, nestled in the village of williamsville, with main street nearby, tree lined streets, and in walking distance of the grocery store. Our home is 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, 2 story, + a basement, a large kitchen, and it is just perfect for us.

The White Coat Ceremony

A wonderful day dedicated to John's family and friends. He was officially welcomed into the profession and the school with recieving his white Doctors coat. Presented were some facts and suggestions to family and friends of John (the dental student). I will share that: First of all, lets brag about how awesome John is.... In the nation there was a total of 10,434 dental applicants for 4,700 spots, that is an increase of 1,000 or 10.5% from last year. At UB (johns school) there was 1703 applicants for 85 spots, that is an increase in 395 or 30.2% from last year! Crazy! The average DAT was 19.35, the average GPA was 3.57, and there are 60 males in Johns class and 25 females (normally it is half and half but this year more guys). So we are very lucky to be here ! Some other important news that was shared directly for family and friends, about John's life, is that he will be very busy, he will have little time, energy and money. So don't be offended if he does not call as often as you would like, you call him, calls are appreciated, and your support and encouragement are appreciated. Also to parents in particular, care packages are great ideas to send to express your love and support. Gift cards to needed places (gas, groceries, restaurants) and money are great. And remember this is not coming from me, but from the school. Ha ha, and anything for the wife of the dental student is very much appreciated, because I will be the one dealing with him first hand!!

So whats up in Buff Buff!?

Buffalo.... Is it Great!! here we are in our new home in the village of Williamsville NY, a small suburb of Buffalo. Our new home is in the perfect nestled community. The freeway is unneeded to get to anywhere we need. Orientation for Johns dental school has begun and successfully ended. With the number one best thing is getting what?! The new MAC BOOK PRO! I am worried that the the new laptop is going to get more loving then me in the next four years, but I was taught from the dental school administrators themselves that I need to be ESP- Encouraging, supportive, and patient!!! And that John will be studying and be very busy with school, it is more than a full time job!! So myself and the other wives had bonded together to create a little wives club to be there for each other when our husbands are busy studying. The orientation activities have kept us busy getting to know other dental students and enjoying our time together before our sad separation on Monday when school begins!!
